Q: What is the AARP Feedback Forum?
A: The AARP Feedback Forum is a community platform hosted at forum.aarp.org where AARP members and nonmembers can provide feedback and input on AARP’s and other company’s programs and services through a variety of activities. To participate, you will need to opt in to the overall program by registering on AARP.org and then completing a brief profile for the Forum. Once registered, you can select the activities you’d like to complete.
Q: How do I receive free product samples to try?
A: All participants will receive the samples in this program pilot when they’re available. To ensure you get your samples, log in to your AARP.org account and select My Profile to update your mailing address.
Q: Who can participate? Do I need to be an AARP member to participate in the AARP Feedback Forum?
A: Anyone over the age of 18 can join for free at any time (and unsubscribe at any time). To participate, opt in to the overall program by registering on aarp.org and then completing a brief profile for the Forum.
Q: How do I know what’s new?
A: Each new activity will be flagged “New” in the upper left corner of its tile. We’ll also send you a notification email when we post new activities, so be sure to add forum@aarp.org to your safe senders list.
Q: How will I know when prizes have been awarded?
A: We’ll post an update to the dashboard page. Winners will be notified by email, so be sure to add forum@aarp.org to your safe senders list.
Q: How old do I have to be to join? Can more than one person in a household join?
A: Anyone over the age of 18 can join AARP Feedback Forum. Each individual over the age of 18 may join AARP Feedback Forum.
Q: Does it cost anything to join?
A: No. It is absolutely FREE to join AARP Feedback Forum, and we appreciate your contribution.
Q: What should I do if I no longer want to participate in the program?
A: We’re sorry to see you go! Please email forum@aarp.org to let us know you no longer want to participate in the program.
Q: Can I join the program if I live outside of the U.S.?
A: Yes. You do not have to be a resident of the U.S. to join AARP Feedback Forum. However, participants outside of the U.S. are not eligible to receive physical samples.
Q: What do I do if I have a question about the activity I am completing?
A: Please email us at forum@aarp.org.
Q: I may have friends or family who are interested in joining. Can I forward an invitation to them?
A: Thank you! You can share AARP Feedback Forum’s URL forum.aarp.org so they can learn more. To participate, they will need to opt in to the overall program by registering on AARP.org and then completing a brief profile for the Forum. Once registered, they can select the activities they would like to complete.
Q: What happens if I have not been able to participate as often as I would have liked? Will I be removed from the program?
A: No. You will not be removed from the program for inactivity. Participate as frequently or infrequently as you’d like.
Q: Will you share my email address or other personal information with others?
A: Absolutely not. Any information you give, including your email address, is kept strictly confidential.
Q: How do I opt out of receiving emails from you?
A: If you would like to opt out of email communications, please click the “Manage Your Account” option at the bottom of an email. Alternatively, log in to your aarp.org account, select My Account and then select the Newsletters option. You can change your subscriptions anytime.
Q: How can I update my contact information?
A: Please click on your username in the upper righthand corner of your Dashboard page.
Q: How much of my profile is visible to other participants?
A: Neither your AARP Feedback Forum information nor your aarp.org information are available for other participants to view. But if you choose to add comments in the community chats, other participants can click on your chat name and view other comments you have contributed on AARP.org or associated websites.
Q: How do I know if someone has responded to my comment or post?
A: If someone responds to your posted comment, you will receive an email notification. If you want to turn off notifications, click on the bell icon next to any comment box, and a settings box will pop up.
Q: Can I delete or edit my comments?
A: If you want to delete your comment, navigate back to your comment and click on the three dots on the right top side of your comment. You are unable to edit your comments once posted at this time.
